The Spitfire and Mustang are great little planes and a lot of fun straight out of the box. Being small and light they can not be flown in too much wind and it is recommended not to fly in anything above 5 Km/h. This said we have flown them in gusty conditions and they are manageable. They are delicate but can handle minor crashes.
One pilot has had a few heavy crashes but the prop was easily replaced. Double sided tape can repair the landing gear. TIP:Breaks in the wings can be repaired using white glue and reinforced with tissue paper. This dries to almost transparent and is very strong.
Cogs on the gearbox shafts move when the plane crashes nose first but this can be fixed by removing the prop, sliding the cogs back into position and applying a small drop of CA glue. Internet forums also suggest a few winds of cotton around the shaft in front of the main cog secured with CA to prevent it slipping.
The controller power stick died on the controller but it was quickly replaced under warranty.
RC Hobbies can be commended for their great customer service.
